TDF Update – Shifting Gears: A New Season of Residency & Regeneration

As the summer sun begins to wane, we find ourselves in a moment of deep reflection at Traditional Dream Factory. After welcoming over 3,000 beautiful souls to our land over the past seasons, it's clear: openness has brought magic, but also exhaustion. It's time for a shift.

This fall, we’re entering a new chapter.

TDF is transitioning from a fully open space to a more intentional residency-based model. We’re setting clearer boundaries so we can deepen the roots of our community, design a regenerative rhythm that sustains our land and people, and bring more coherence to the TDF journey.

Going forward, we are:

👉 Opening only to guests who commit to month-long stays

👉 Focusing on structured programs that serve as immersive introductions to regenerative village life

👉 Keeping short stays exclusively for TDF Citizens, who already carry our culture - or during contained events

We already have 10 permanent residents anchoring the space, and we’re now welcoming up to 12 monthly guests and 8 volunteers per cycle. Priority will be given to potential Citizens that are coming to dive deeper with us and exploring TDF as a potential home. We are in the planning phase of our 23 home cohousing development.

Events are still open moments—but now clearly defined containers where the team can take the group on a magical journey discovering our vision. And for the curious who can’t yet commit to a month? We have a special monthly day visit for a first taste of TDF.

What's Coming This Fall 🍂

1. September – Pop-up Village³: The Citizens Assembly

This is our moment of convergence: old friends, new faces, and future neighbors coming together to co-create TDF 2.0. It’s also the launchpad for a new 12-week residency track. This residency is designed for those ready to explore co-housing at TDF—entrepreneurs, families, and community builders who want to shape the culture and design of our future village.

2. October – Burn Month 🔥

An invitation to artists, makers, and land magicians to co-create beauty and wonder. Expect large-scale installations, ceremonial play, and hands in the soil. We’re weaving magic back into the landscape.

3. November – The Food & Fungi Residency 🌱🍄

A month for grounded regeneration: agroforestry design, food systems thinking, permaculture practice, and a deep dive into fungi cultivation. Learn to feed the village—nutritionally and spiritually.

This shift marks a return to our original dream: to be not just a place of passage, but a living laboratory for regenerative civilization. A space where people don’t just visit—but belong.

If you're called to become a Citizen, now is the time. We aim to onboard 300 Citizens into the ecosystem. And this fall, we’re building the foundation for that.

Together, let’s turn this dream into a thriving village.
