Chief Finance Officer / Chief Operating Officer

The Construction Manager leads all physical development at TDF, ensuring that buildings, infrastructure, and land-based projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with TDF’s regenerative principles. This role bridges architects, engineers, builders, volunteers, and ecological stakeholders to deliver high-quality construction that integrates with nature rather than disrupts it.

Construction manager

Traditional Dream Factory is looking for a hands-on technologist with skills in digital fabrication, electronics, sensors, and automation to help embed machines directly into the metabolism of a regenerative village. This role focuses on building local production capacity through CNC cutters and 3D printers for construction components, tools, and repair parts; streamlining food transformation systems such as fermentation, dehydration, and processing through smart, energy-efficient tooling; and deploying low-power sensor networks to monitor soil, water, and microclimates. Over time, the role may explore experimental, human-in-the-loop robotics to assist landscape management in ways that enhance biodiversity rather than extract from it. The steward works at the intersection of land, hardware, and community—designing, prototyping, fixing, and documenting systems that reduce dependency on external supply chains while increasing ecological intelligence. Compensation combines living support, Proof-of-Sweat rewards, and project-based bounties, with outputs feeding directly into TDF’s governance and replication playbooks for future villages.

Fabrication & Automation Steward

🍳 Kitchen Lead (Heart of the Community)The Kitchen Lead is responsible for nourishing the TDF community—through seasonal, intentional cooking, mindful budgeting, and the living culture of food as connection. We're looking for someone who sees the kitchen not just as a place to cook, but as a space to gather, teach, and regenerate. This is a grounding role at the heart of daily life at TDF, shaping how we eat, how we share, and how we relate to the land around us. This is a full-time on-site role of 40 hours per week.What you'll do: Prepare 1–2 nourishing meals a day for the community, coordinate and inspire volunteers in the kitchen, handle food shopping and supplier relationships, manage the food budget with care and creativity, advise on the weekly menu with a seasonal and nutritional lens, and hold the food culture of TDF—making the kitchen a living expression of our regenerative values.What we're looking for: Someone with real cooking experience and a collaborative spirit, comfortable working with mixed groups of volunteers, confident managing a budget without losing the joy of cooking, and genuinely excited about food as a form of community care.
