His training in Portugal and the USA specializes in wilderness survival and the 8-Shields cultural mentoring model for nature connection. He guides students to build inspired, lasting relationships with the Earth through hands-on survival and naturalist skills such as fire making, shelter building, primitive cooking, wild foraging, awareness, animal tracking, and storytelling. He facilitates a variety of program types including adult, family and youth wilderness programs, earth-based Rites of Passage for boys, and Father-Son wilderness programs. He has also served as the Land Steward for Traditional Dream Factory in Portugal. Joshua serves to create conditions for modern people to experience deep and direct personal relationships with the natural world and to thrive by surviving within the nature of constant change.Melina Feuvrier-Etevenard, a regenerative farmer and permaculture enthusiast, thrives in crafting, cooking, and the art of wilderness awareness. She's cultivated her skills in communities and regenerative farms throughout Europe. Driven by a passion for nurturing both healthy ecosystems and flourishing cultures, Melina has worked with youth and adults in pedagogical farms and nature camps. She guides herself and others in aligning the human lifestyle with life’s natural cycles. Harmonia 2026 is intended to be one of the last public events before the site closes down for an extended period of large-scale construction in the second half of the year.The project has come a long way in 2025. The event space and co-working space are fully functional and thriving, and have been used for markets, workshops, dances, and the daily flow of working and living at TDF. The mushroom farm has been built within 2x 40ft shipping containers sunk into an enormous mound of earth and is producing edible mushrooms and medicinal tinctures.On the land, the trees are growing fast - and hundreds more have been planted in the last year. The Water Temple pool is completed, along with a surrounding wooden deck which is perfect for sunrises and sunsets.Many other small details: a pergola in the main courtyard, french drains along building perimeters to channel rainwater and prevent erosion. Upgraded glamping tents, and a full renovation of the team house - a new roof, micro cement floors, a log burner, and a cosy loft space.From the 2025 report:“Over the year, we regenerated soil and water at scale, planted 333+ trees, stored over 1.2 million liters of rainwater, and closed nutrient loops through composting and humanure systems. We built and activated core infrastructure — the café, workshops, event hall, Water Temple pool, propagation greenhouse, chicken systems, and a two-container mushroom farm already producing food and income.We are now entering the village phase and raising €1.2M to start spring 2026 construction: 13 en-suite co-living rooms and 4 studios, a commercial kitchen and farm-to-table restaurant, a 200 kW solar park expansion (panels secured at cost via Kinterra), and scaled water, food, and energy systems designed for long-term resilience. From bringing your own van to staying in a shared dorm, we have a range of options to fit your needs. We recommend staying for 1 month to get the full experience of our community, but you can also come just for an event.

Volunteer with us, contribute a specific skill or complete a small project while staying at TDF for at least 14 days. 

After staying with us for at least 14 days, and your trial has been deemed successful - you will be invited to have an informal interview with one of the stewards to map your intentions, opportunities and unique role within TDF. 

This will then be send to the DAO where you will have the opportunity to be vouched for by current members. Upon being vouched for by at least 3 current members, your application will be successful!
