Celebrating our Autumn Open Day, Patrick the Co-Founder of the Human Forest Project will be bringing the Human Forest to Traditional Dream Factory (TDF).&nbsp;In celebration of our coming season and all the amazing projects in motion, we have invited Patrick to our Open Day to run a Human Forest ahead of a week of building more connected relationships with ourselves, each other and our beautiful land. WHAT IS A HUMAN FOREST?For those of you that don't know, a Human Forest Experience is a human ecosystem connected by loving, present, non-sexualised touch.Half of the room are ‘trees’ who are blindfolded and receive touch and the other half of the room, ‘the critters’ are the givers of touch. You will have the opportunity to experience being both a tree and a critter.These events can be powerful, healing opportunities for participants to experience intimacy and joy. The team’s priority is supporting participants to leave these events feeling opened, respected, cared for and loved. If you have any history of trauma related to receiving or giving touch, please be in touch with us directly to seriously consider whether this event is right for you.</li><li>Participants are required to be on time to ensure they understand how to communicate their boundaries with clarity and respect via the consent and boundaries section at the commencement of the event.</li></ul> ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Patrick BloomingPatrick is one of the co-founders of the Human Forest Project and has been holding and organising Human Forests for over 3 years now. From its humble beginnings in a warehouse apartment in Melbourne, Victoria, the Forests have now been running internationally from Lisbon to London.His emphasis is on holding and recognising the balance between being playful and serious, creating spaces that make you feel completely at ease but courageous enough to explore your edges. He believes in collaboratively building 'Brave Spaces', encouraging active self-responsibility while supporting participants every step of the way to recognise their own needs and be as authentic as they possibly can be.Patrick has also been a songwriter/ musician for over 15 years and brings live music and group singing to connect people to their own voices and musicality during his workshops. Bring your home to TDF 🚐&nbsp;we have spaces in the land that are flat, with shade and with electricity. Perfect for your home on the road. No grey water systems available (it is not allowed to dispose of these in the land). Compost toilets and showers are shared.

Van Parking Space

Wake up to the view of oak trees 🌳&nbsp;Bring your own gear. We recommend a tent, a camping mattress, a sleeping bag and a pillow. If it is winter, make sure your gear is warm and waterproof. Compost toilets and showers are shared.

Camping

Get cosy in a glamping tent for you, and two or three more folks. It’s spacious and comfortable - don’t worry, they are 5m in diameter.The tents are set up on platforms on our land. Compost toilets and hot showers are shared.Book for one and we will allocate you with other bookings, or book as 3-4 people together and you will be allocated your own tent to share.Tents are set up with single beds, bedding and blankets for extra cosyness! We also provide a towel for your stay.Please bring an extra one for the sauna if you can! .

Shared Glamping 

Get cosy in your own glamping tent on the land emerged in nature 🥰They are 5m in diameter so you will have space. You’ll get a double mattress with warm blankets and fluffy rugs.This set up is for two people only, if you are 3+ then you can book a shared glamping.Compost toilets and hot showers are shared and on the land.We provide towels with your booking but please bring extra for the sauna if you can!

Private Glamping

Our dorm is in the chicken factory! A simple but cosy space with dorm beds and desk space.We provide bedding and a towel for your stay but please bring an extra one for the sauna if you can!Please let us know if you do not want to be in a mixed gendered space and we will try to accommodate.Compost toilets and hot showers are shared on the land.

Carrots provide you with a seamless way to make your booking without the need for traditional currency - with Carrots you can cover any Accommodation Fee at TDF. It mimics our $TDF system, except that it does not contain governance influence.

Carrots can be harvested monthly with a pioneer subscription or earned by completing 👾 quests (coming soon).

After staying with us for at least 14 days, and your trial has been deemed successful - you will be invited to have an informal interview with one of the stewards to map your intentions, opportunities and unique role within TDF. 

This will then be send to the DAO where you will have the opportunity to be vouched for by current members. Upon being vouched for by at least 3 current members, your application will be successful!
